Condo Project Summary
This new condo project is a mixed-use tower just north of one of the city’s main transit hubs just minutes north of Finch Station.
Plaza On Yonge Condos is a modern mixed-use condominium development by Plaza Corporation in North York . This 33 storey tower pre-construction project designed by Quadrangle Architects, sits at 5858 Yonge St. on the west side of Yonge Street in the Newtonbrook neighbourhood.

This condo building will include 407 residential units, with a mix of studios, one-bedrooms, one-bedrooms-plus-den, two-bedrooms, two-bedrooms-plus-den and three-bedrooms layouts. A typical size for a one-bedroom unit will be approximately 592 square-feet, while a typical two-bedroom will span about 807 and a typical three-bedroom at 1,238 square-feet.
Residents will be lucky to access a wealth of amenities found on the ground floor, first and second floor. The ground floor will contain an elegant lobby and 24-hour concierge service and a fitness studio and party room with a kitchenette. Residents and their beloved pets will also have access to a ground-floor pet spa and running area. The first floor will house a wifi study lounge, theatre room, and a gaming lounge with a catering kitchenette.
Lastly, floor two will contain an outdoor terrace housing a glimmering pool with comfortable lounging chairs, as well as an indoor steam room, yoga room, plaza club with a play area and dining space. Additionally, the third floor will contain two luxury guest suites providing extra room and comfort for residents and visitors.
Plaza on Yonge will boast stunning interiors with open-space concepts and contemporary designs. Each suite will feature smooth ceilings, laminate flooring, kitchens with quartz countertops and under-mount sinks, soft-closing kitchen cabinetry and a stacked front-loading washer & dryer. The kitchens will be available in two design packages: The Standard Suites Appliance Package – 24” ceramic cooktop appliance, 24” wall oven, panel-ready dishwasher, 24” stainless
steel fridge, wall-mounted microwave hood range, and the Terrace Suites & Townhomes Appliance Package – 30” electric slide-in range, panel-ready dishwasher, 33” stainless steel fridge, wall-mounted microwave hood range.
The bathrooms will also display contemporary designs and modern features, including frameless glass doors in the shower, Moen faucets and ceramic or porcelain tiles. These timeless spaces provide inhabitants with a spa-like ambience, perfect for winding down after a long day.
Four levels of underground parking will be part of the development, with space for 418 vehicles and 524 bicycles.
Location & Neighbourhood
This new development is located in North York and it takes advantage of a convenient and connected part of the GTA that’s undergoing some dynamic changes. Designated by the province as an “urban growth centre,” it’s primed to get a significant amount of residential, retail, office and cultural development in the coming years, making it a great place to invest in.
The project site is steps to Centerpoint Mall, which features over 600,000 square-feet of shops and services and is anchored by Hudson’s Bay and a grocery store.
This project location has an excellent transit score of 85.
It’s a five-minute walk to Finch Station, a major transit hub that connects to the TTC, York Regional Transit and both the GO and VIVA systems, essentially providing transit access to most parts of the GTA. From Finch Station, it’s an efficient 30-minute commute into Toronto’s Financial District and just a single stop to the Yonge and Sheppard intersection, a major commercial and office hub.
This stretch of North York has also been named by Urban Toronto as a “Growth to Watch for 2017” area, thanks to the number of condominium and mixed-use proposals it has seen in the past few years. These include a massive proposal targeting land just across the street, calling for four residential towers and a series of townhomes. Several more condominium towers and townhome projects are slated for the surrounding area, stretching from Finch down to Sheppard Avenue.
